The sweet pain of loss

Which sadly became my faithful friend

It followed me everywhere in my journey

In my changing world it was the only thing constant

Always by my side, never leaving

Quick to point out the deceitful

Ones willing to inflict more heartache

 

My friend taught me coldness

And even though it keeps me on the dark side

Where the sun don't shine

And the flowers don't bloom

The pain is sweet, my sweet friend
